Six must-have WordPress plugins

Creating a blog on WordPress is fun, as users get the full authority to edit the CSS  so as to customize the theme as per their needs. And after the customization of the theme, the next thing that comes in mind are the number of plugins that are available on WordPress. The plugins along the theme makes the blog complete, so besides having a good theme to start with , right plugins are equally essential for the better working and performance of the blog.

So in this article we have selected the best must have plugins for your blog:

1. Akismet:

The best thing about this plugin is that you don’t have to install it manually as it comes pre installed, so half the work is already done. You just need to register yourself and get it FREE for personal use.

It is very essential for any blogger as it separates spammy comments from the genuine one, and thus leaving you with less comments to moderate and publish.

2. All in One SEO Pack:

Some days back ,when i was blogging through Blogger/Blog-spot, then i always use to face the problem of Search engine optimization for my articles, though blogger/blog-spot had integrated some new features by then but still SEO was lagging behind.

But after I switched onto Word press, then the first plugin I installed was All in One SEO Pack as through it, I could do the optimization for my each and every post very easily and that too effectively.

3. Login LockDown:

As of now security of the blog has become a major concern for any blogger. Some time back even one of my friends blog was hacked, which left him broken , as for a dedicated blogger , this can be a nightmare.

But after the recovery of his blog, the first thing that my friend did was ,that he installed Lockin Lockdown plugin and made us do the same too.

Lockin Lockdown restircts the number of failed attempts within a particular time period as by default it has set 3 attempts within 5 minutes. And if all the three attempts are unsuccessful , then it automatically locks the particular Ip address for a particular time period. Though if you want, you may manually release the Ip addresses through the dashboard.

4. nrelate Related Content:

Now this plugin simply works on an algorithm that puts some extra post at the end of the article. As you may see at the end of this article, 4 more post are being displayed under the heading “You may also like“.

So nrelate can be very beneficial plugin when it comes to retaining the visitors on your blog, as if the visitor/reader like a particular heading, then he might click on it and thus remain active on the blog for a longer time duration.

5.Broken Link Checker:

Whenever a search query is generated, then search engine bots visit your blog in order to see if they can fetch the relevant information for the user. So while crawling these bots search for the information and if they encounter any broken link, then if leaves a negative impression of your blog and thus the chances of being displayed at a higher rank in search queries can get diminished.

So in order to tackle this problem , you simply need to install Broken Link Checker, which will automatically check for the broken links on your blog and if any problem is encountered, then you can simply rectify it.

6. Google Analytics for WordPress:

The last but equally important plugin on my list is Google Analytics for WordPress, as through it , you can easily use Google analytics on your blog and  can keep constant track of your visitor’s graph.

Just install the plugin, enter your analytic user id, and you are done. :)

This is our list but if you have any other important plugin on mind, do let us know so we can add that in our next list.
